Jaboticaba - Also known as the Amazon Tree Grape

We have intentionally made this Jaboticaba Port into an easy drinking not so sweet Port.  Similar in many ways to a Grape port but with a touch more Tannin at the back palate which dries it off so it doesn't finish very sweet.

The Jaboticaba fruit can be made into any style of red wine. We have previously made styles ranging from Shiraz to a Beaujolais.  This red port is not as heavy as a traditional grape port and is rich with the distinct flavour of the Jaboticaba fruit.  A very popular style of port.  Wonderful with Cheese and Buscuits. 

Try it, you’ll love it but put your car keys away when you crack the bottle.
